URGENT Action TODAY – Email Board of Trustees!

9/21/2020

Dear FSU Members,

Tomorrow morning, Tuesday 9/22, the UMass Board of Trustees will be meeting. A number of union leaders – including myself and PSU President Anneta Argyres-- will be speaking at the meeting and urging them to roll back the draconian budget they adopted on 7/20, which called for a 6% cut to UMass personnel on all campuses. We need your help to get the Board of Trustees to hear us!

TODAY - MTA Higher Education Meeting

9/15/2020

Dear FSU member,

The Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) is holding an all higher education member meeting today from 4:30 -6:00PM for the purpose of planning political actions to address layoffs, furloughs, and health and safety issues.

Please register for this important meeting and learn how you can participate in actions to stop the cuts and furloughs.   Registration information on the attached flyer.

Sincerely,

The Point: Fanfare for the Common Good

9/14/2020

In which we argue against the easy fixes of “drive-by diversity” in favor of a profound mobilization across the communities of interest—students, faculty, staff, community members—that should run this university.

Greetings, Colleagues,

For those of us working in higher education everything is up for grabs, isn’t it?

I mean even figuring out how to start an email to a colleague is not a simple task: “hope this finds you well” seems problematic at best.
