FSU Elections - Voting Update

3/1/2018

Dear FSU members,

Our elections are down to the home stretch.  Voting begins at 9AM Friday March 2nd and runs to 9AM Friday, March 9th.

Thank you to all those who came to the candidate forum. The video of the forum is now on the FSU blog: http://fsublog.org/uncategorized/fsu-candidate-forum/. You can also view the candidate statements here.

Your ballot will be sent by Ballotbin which is the software we use for our elections.  All members will receive a ballot to vote for FSU President.  You will receive another ballot for your respective constituency (non-tenure track, tenured, pre-tenure or librarian). Please be sure to vote in that election as well.

The ballots indicate if the candidate is a candidate for re-election and contain, if submitted, a 150 word candidate statement.  To view the statement, click on the link. Write-in candidates are accepted in all elections.

President Ballot

All FSU members receive this ballot to vote for FSU President.

Tenured Faculty

In addition to the FSU President ballot, you will receive two (2) additional ballots. Ballot number 2 is for the normal two year term and ballot number 3 is for the special election. The special election is to fill the seat of a member who resigned. The winner of the special election takes office immediately.

Pre-Tenured Faculty

In addition to the FSU President ballot, you will receive one additional ballot.

Non Tenured Track Faculty

In addition to the FSU President ballot, you will receive one additional ballot.

Librarians

In addition to the FSU President ballot, you will receive one additional ballot.

What if I do not receive a ballot?

Although voting begins at 9AM, it takes a little while for Ballotbin to send out all the emails.  The email used is the one you have on file with the FSU. If by midday on Friday, you do not see Ballotbin emails, please check your junk folder. If not in your junk folder you may contact a member of the elections committee and we will make sure you receive a ballot.

Campaigning ends once voting begins.  We ask that everyone respects the election procedures and refrain from any activity other than voting after 9AM March 2nd.

Election results will be announced on the afternoon of Friday March 9th.

Thank you for being a member of the FSU and participating in our elections.
