NTT Faculty and AFRs

Dear Non-Tenure Faculty,
As you start to prepare for Fall semester, I want to remind you to include completing your Annual Faculty Review (AFR) to your semester to do list.
AFRs are due no later than September 20th to your department chair. To access the AFR system go to https://www.umb.edu/faculty_staff/afr.
Why is it important to annually complete an AFR?
- The AFR is your time to tell your department all that you do, especially anything that goes beyond our responsibilities – teaching and basic service.
- Promotion to Senior Lecturer and/or Senior Lecturer II materials reviewed by the relevant committees includes six (6) years of AFRS.
Be sure to include student advising sessions and recommendations written.
