FSU Calendar: Upcoming Events

NTT Promotion Workshop, December 2nd at 2PM in Zoom

NTT members of your Executive Committee will be hosting a zoom workshop to provide information on the promotion process and materials to be submitted. Submittal date is January 26, 2026.

Anti-Racism Grant Applications: Due Wednesday, December 3rd at 4PM EST

The FSU is accepting grant applications that support anti-racism initiatives that seek to collectively transform UMB’s campus culture. 

Application Materials: Maximum 2-page double-space proposal that includes a budget, CV for each applicant and submit as attachments to fsu@umb.edu by December 3, 2025, at 4PM EST. 

Dear Faculty and Librarians,

The FSU wishes all faculty and librarians a happy and healthy Thanksgiving break.  For those traveling, AAA’s forecast expects this year to be very busy with an estimated 73 million traveling by car. 

Know Your Contract: Winter Class Salary (Article 36.4)

Effective September 1, 2025, the new rate for Winter and Summer classes is now $5,800. This is an increase of $300 from last year. 

Know Your Contract: Associate Lecturer Conversion to Lecturer (Article 21.11.1.iii)

The contract states:   In such case as an Associate Lecturer/Clinical Associate Lecturer has served at 50% FTE or higher for three consecutive semesters, their title shall be converted to Lecturer, and effective as of the start of the semester following that conversion they shall receive a salary increase to the applicable salary floor for Lecturers (unless their salary already exceeds that floor).

Final Grade Submittal Deadline is December 29th

The original deadline was December 26th.  It has been changed to Monday, December 29th.   

UMB is also closed December 30 and 31st.
