FSU Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

October 22, 2025 3:30pm (Zoom)

Executive Committee Members Present: Caroline Coscia (President); Jason Rodriquez (Vice President); Brian White; Monique Fuguet; Meredith Laferte- Coutu; Andrew Elder; Patricia Krueger- Henney; Rania Said;

Others Present: Lorenzo Nencioli (FSU Senior Staff Member); Katie D’Urso (MTA Field Rep);  Suisui Wang, FSU member

1. Grievance Update

Motion to approve entering into executive session. Motion seconded. Motion approved unanimously.

  2. Approval of Minutes:

Motion made to approve minutes from the 9/8/15, 9/23/25, and 10/7/25 Ex Com meetings. Motion seconded. Motion approved unanimously.

  3. Visa Committee:

Maria Carvajal Regidor, Wei Zhang, and Miguel Montalva Barba volunteered to serve on committee. Motion made to approve Maria Carvajal Regidor, Wei Zhang, and Miguel Montalva Barba to visa committee. Motion seconded. Motion approved unanimously.

Update on meeting with Provost re H1B visa holder concerns

  4. PSU Rally:

Executive Committee agrees to allow PSU to add FSU as a supporter.

  5. FSU Logo:  

Discussion of MTA draft logos. Agreed to utilize the 3^rd option but ask MTA to modify.

  6. Membership Outreach:

Discussion of outreach plan for non-members. MTA will do training for FSU volunteers who will do outreach to non-members re joining. Katie provided list of names of volunteers. Patricia, Rania, and Brian agreed to do outreach.

  7. FSU Mission and Vision Discussion:

Agreed to discuss at next meeting.
