1. We will be receiving our retroactive pay October 23, 2015.  Help us celebrate by joining us in the Ryan Lounge at lunch time.  Free pizza and drinks will be served.  More info will be sent.

Welcome back to campus for those of you who are returning.  For those of you who are new, welcome to UMass Boston and the Faculty Staff Union email update. 

►Our retroactive raises will be paid:  In the paychecks scheduled for October 23, the administration plans to give us our retroactive cost of living raises owed us from July 1, 2014 to May 2, 2015 and our retroactive merit pay owed from January 2015 to May 2, 2015. 

Please sign the petition asking that your full raises for this year be paid.

Please circulate this widely.  We are tabling this week as well to spread the word that the UMass President is saying he won’t pay our full raises without increasing student tuition and fees to pay for this, when he was given the money for our raises last summer.  

UMass has agreed to pay us our raises starting May 3, 2015.  Because this includes only 2 out of 12 months you should have had an increased paycheck, rather than receiving up to a 3.5% salary increase this year, you will be receiving a whopping 0.4-0.6% increase.
