Academic Freedom in Higher Education

Tuesday, October 1st 3:30PM-5:00 PM  on Zoom

How much academic freedom do you have as an untenured faculty member, or a librarian? What do you do if you think your academic freedom rights are being violated? Academic Freedom is a pillar in higher education. In this workshop MTA legal counsel James Racine will explain the federal and state laws governing academic freedom and describe how contract language affords additional rights to union members.
