Social Media Training: Protections and Limitations on October 22nd at 7pm

Join the MTA Legal Division staff for a webinar designed to provide public higher education employees practical guidance on navigating the complex intersection of social media and public employment. The webinar will discuss the protections – and limits – of the First Amendment and labor laws to help educators maximize their rights, recognize their limitations, and make informed decisions before posting on social media.

The webinar is being held on Wednesday, October 22nd from 7:00PM to 8:15PM.

Say NO to “resilience” and YES to "resistance” with Andrew Leong on October 29th at 12pm

UMB Philosophy professor and attorney Andrew Leong is following up his Spring 2025 'Know Your Rights' workshop. This workshop offers information, observations, and examples about how we can and should resist, individually and collectively, the rising threat of authoritarianism.

Join us on Wednesday, October 29th from 12:00PM to 1:30PM in the Campus Center, 3rd floor Ballroom.
