Below is a message from our union colleagues in the CSU (Classified Staff Union).  Let them you know you support them -- they will be leafletting on Thursday April 21 at 9am outside the campus center cafeteria - to tell the campus community about their contract campaign demands while their bargaining team is in negotiations.

CSU Union Visibility Days – Every Week! 

Starting Thursday April 21 and every week until we settle our contract. 

The prices of everything around us keep going up but our wages continue to stagnate! CSU makes UMass Boston run. Our members kept this campus running throughout the worst of the pandemic. A growing number of departments are understaffed, leaving many of our members to carry out at least double the work they should be doing. And management is refusing to pay us fairly. Let’s turn up the heat to demand the respect and dignity that CSU members deserve! 

On April 21: 

• Join fellow CSU members Thursday April 21 at 9am to leaflet outside the campus center cafeteria about our contract campaign demands while our bargaining team is in negotiations. 
• Wear your union t-shirt (or a blue t-shirt), whether you are on campus or working remote. 
• Add the attached image to your email signature.
