Stop the proposals to weaken public higher education in Massachusetts

12/11/2025

Dear Faculty and Librarians,

We need your support to stop the weakening of higher education, including diminishing the value of libraries and librarians.

The December 8th Nuts & Bolts provided information on two proposals that will weaken Massachusetts’ public higher education by reducing accreditation standards and the number of credits required for a bachelor’s degree.

The Point: Join the FSU, Be the Labor Movement

12/11/2025

This week’s edition was written by The Point committee. As always, The Point represents the views of the authors and is not the official position of the FSU.

Dear Colleagues,

Nuts & Bolts: Office Temperatures, Know Your Contract: Teaching Evaluations, Reducing the Number of Credits for a Degree, NECHE Accreditation Changes and MTA Retirement Services

12/8/2025

Dear Faculty and Librarians,

I got a week to go, I got a week to go, I said until then, It's just a dream my friend, I still got a week to go (Week to Go by Taulia Lave).

As the semester winds down, we wish you a pleasant last week of classes and remember to take some time for yourself before heading into final exam week and assignment grading.
